Print Shop Recipes

The daily print-shop loop over MCP: customer file to production file, knockouts, vector files, customer brands, and delivery.

Customer file to production file

Get the file in, check it, then make the production file.

  • File on the user’s device: designgen_files { "operation": "upload_link", "fileName": "logo.png" }, give the user uploadUrl, then replay the upload_status nextCall until the file arrives; use file.downloadUrl as imageUrl.
  • designgen_print_prep { "operation": "preflight", "imageUrl": "https://...", "targetWidthIn": 11, "method": "dtf" } is free; show customerSummary and any fail checks.
  • designgen_print_prep { "operation": "print_file", "imageUrl": "https://...", "targetWidthIn": 12, "printMethod": "dtf" } makes a verified SVG + 600-DPI PNG. Ask for the width if the user did not give it.
  • Replay the nextCall to designgen_operator get every ~15 s; relay pending questions (answer) and approvals (decide) to the user; then call production_package for the files.

Knockouts, halftones, vector files

For screen print and DTF treatments, and for cutters and RIP software.

  • designgen_print_prep sample_color (free) picks the color to drop; knockout_preview (free) iterates; knockout_export queues the final (75-100 credits); replay knockout_status until completed.
  • designgen_edit halftone applies a DTF dot pattern (10 credits).
  • designgen_edit vectorize traces the art and returns an imageToken; designgen_edit vector_export turns it into SVG/EPS/PDF/DXF/PNG links.

Customer brands

Keep one brand kit per customer and name it on every call.

  • designgen_brand { "operation": "create", "name": "Acme Print Co", "website": "https://acme.example.com" } returns brandId and a nextCall that ingests the site.
  • Read the kit with designgen_brand { "operation": "get", "brandId": "brand_123" } before generating, and pass that brandId explicitly. Do not use switch_active to juggle customers.

Delivering files

Hand finished work to production or a client.

  • designgen_files list_designs finds the session’s designs; designgen_files zip bundles them into one download link.
  • designgen_files share makes a view-only link. For a customer’s sign-off, use designgen_proofs instead.
